I Am Me! Are You?

Who do you think you are? Do you enjoy great health, a good job, wealth and more? Do you think you did it all and that God had no part? Is the only time that you call on God is when you need help , but you never call on him before that? Do you think that you’re in control.

I learned not so long ago that I was not in control. When I gave my life to Christ I thought I still was but God has a way of letting you know that you’re not. He is awesome and amazing if you let him become the king of your life. That’s not to say that’s you won’t have good fortune. He said that you would have life more abundantly.

9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

So remember to be you!! Be who God intended you to be. Don’t worry about being part of the group at work or your social world. Be part of the kingdom and all things will fall into place.

Do You Look For Me? I Am Not Lost But Found!

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Do we look in the mirror sometimes and not like what we see. Are we looking at what the world see’s in us and not what God see’s in us. He see’s the real beauty that is in our hearts and not that of our waistline.

Do you look for me or do you look for God’s word and God’s truth? This week was Women’s Retreat and because the knee was so swollen driving a distance was a problem for me. But I did find out something about myself that I have to work on and that was God has allow me a time of looking in the mirror and ask myself. “What do you see? Is there still work to be done? Do you have doubts? ”

God has a test or trial for us each day and allows us if we are seeking to find the answers. I am having surgery on my knee on November the 15 and the question that got to me the most was , Does God heal today ?

I believe he heals today! And he not only does himself , but he uses doctors and medical professionals as well to do the work for the kingdom. But healing is an area for me that I can honestly say requires more trust in God! Yes I said it. I have something to work on and I’m a Christian.

Society believes that if we are Christian we profess to have all the answers. Well, we don’t but we walk by faith and not by site and we look to the Father to guide us in all things including the power to heal. Even us!! Amen!!

So if it’s a beauty problem , a weight problem, a health problem, God can handle it. But we must believe with all our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls and it will be done no matter what avenue the lord takes to get us there!

The Unforgiveable Sin!

Many people wonder what is this sin that the lord says he will never forgive. I thought that God forgave all through his blood and death on the cross. Well, this is one he will not . Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, You begin to panic and wonder if you have done this thing, but must of us have not because if we did we would not worry or have remorse. we would continue and regret and have harden hearts for the father, So fear not , you’ll still a child of God!

 The Unpardonable Sin

31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Know Them by Their Fruit!!!

I remember when someone said to me you will know them by their fruits. I’m thinking what does that mean. It’s amazing how man will make you get closer to the word. When you read the bible you will find out all the ways to talk to non believers and you will learn how distinguish a true Christian. That’s right! By their fruits!! Amen!!

I can tell you this really,be cause you to get into the word. I had a boss who said he was a Christian, but I  knew in my spirit if he was he wasn’t practicing. The next day my daughter gave me a plague that said you will know them by their fruit. His was producing no fruit and when he came across the plaque on my desk he was totally transformed. he recommitted his life to Christ! So, if you think you can’t make a difference remember this story. Let your light shine even in the dark places.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

What Was Life Like For Me Before Christ? Want to know?

You may have come across this page and several others and wonder oh no another Christian page that just writes about God. You probably wonder and have a lot of questions and you haven’t come across anything that gets close to an answer. Just another site that talks about the lords return and everything is all sunshine and light. Nothing could be further from the truth. Let me start from the beginning……

I grew up in a family that believed in God, but did not always practice that belief. My parents sent us to church but they did not go, so I thought as I got older why should I go to church. Well, I decide to follow my own lead. I was 19 when I married my first husband and we had two beautiful kids. We grew apart and I met my current husband and move away from my past that wasn’t that great.

I settled in to my new life in a different state and new job. I thought I had it all. My daughter was having a rough time adjusting to a new school and fell in with the wrong crowd. Then a friend came along who was Christian and put her feet on the path….she tried hard to get mine on there but I refused, I wanted to drink, party, curse, not married yet, and have fun. No one was going to tell me what to do. During this time I returned to school and met what was going to be a person who would help me, along with my daughter ,to change my life.

I fought them for 18 months and just before we graduated college I met the father and accepted what he had to offer. He took away my sins and I can tell you this is a tame version of the story. I don’t have to look back on the things I did they were wash away!

So began a life with the Fathe. Don’t get me wrong, the world still tries to break in but the lord has a bigger plan. I went to church with my daughter and we were baptised and later I received the gift of the Holy Spirit with tongues. I have dreams and visions that came true and my life was for the lord. Then, sidetracked by life I got lazy and then my gifts left me for awhile…then came Facebook and the lord had me start a page Sistersforchrist… and now the blog…my walk with the lord needs work, my prayer life needs work. I’m a work in progress!!

Don’t think because God has come into your life that your challenges will go away….oh no!! You will still have them but you will know what to do when you have them….your faith will grow stronger, your knowledge will increase in all things that are of the lord, you will read more, seek more, love deeper, but you must receive the Good News. You must accept what he has to offer..

Let me tell you from experience you will fight and as I have said this many times ,God is a gentleman. Then finally, when you do it will be the best thing you have ever done in your life …and finally all things will become clear in your life.

Don’t leave your life to the world…don’t keep thinking what if…or say my sins are to great..give it to the one who can take it. Give it to the lord!

John 10:10

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

There Is No Other God!!!

Isaiah 43:10-13

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior. 12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God. 13 Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?”

Jesus Is All We Need!

Have you ever thought back to the time  when you were first saved and you wanted to save others. You wanted to give them what you found and for them to share it with others. Do you remember how forceful you were about this and how hurt you were when they would no listen to the “Good News!!! Oh those were the days!! We look back and laugh at how immature we were as baby Christians and now we look at how we have matured but still have more to learn.

How do you approach people now? What do you say when people curse the lord? Does the Holy Spirit quicken you and give you the answer? He does me give you the answer if your ever so still and spend time in his presence so that you know his voice when he gives you just the right words. The father is and will always be a gentlemen. He will  not force anyone to accept his word. You must accept it freely. It is a choice not a right. Don’t get so wrapped up in the world that you forget to listen for his voice and allow yourself to hear your own.

Sometimes people will ask you if the voice you hear is your inner voice telling you what is right. I say, “Knowing the father is more than an inner voice. It is a peace beyond comprehension and reason. For me it’s just the father is speaking and be still.”

Psalm 46:10

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

The Long Day!

Have you ever had a long day that never seemed to end! Then when it finally did you were so exhausted you couldn’t move…that was my day, but I did remember that when I go to lay my head down tonight that Jesus is right by my side, I’m covered by the blood of Jesus! He will never leave me nor forsake me….he is with me and he wants to be with you, so take some time and ask him to come dwell in your heart and he will never leave you. Have a blessed night and rise to a new day in the lord!!

Rest in the lord!!

Now rest dear children ,for the father is with us !!

8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[a]

Power in the Blood!!!

There is power in the blood, power in the blood of Jesus!! This is amazing!!We must include in our daily prayer to prayer the power of the bloodover our families and love ones. This is powerful and wonderful stuff that the lord has delivered to all who believe. So, if your children or family have walked away from the lord remember this, the powerful weapon in the power of the blood of Jesus! Pray it for them each and every day and night, Pray it over your home and possessions! It is the power that the lord has giving all his children!!

7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High     will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a] 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,     my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you     from the fowler’s snare     and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers,     and under his wings you will find refuge;     his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night,     nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,     nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side,     ten thousand at your right hand,     but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes     and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”     and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you,     no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you     to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands,     so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;     you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;     I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;     I will be with him in trouble,     I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him  and show him my salvation.
